Costar 24 well heated plate holder
For high throughput experiments with cultured epithelial cells, epithelia are cultured on permeable supports in the wells of Costar or Millipore transwell plates. Instruments designed by EP Design use Costar 24 well plates, as shown here.
For experiments aiming at RT-PD recording with electrode manifold, the Costar plates are mounted in temperature controlled aluminum holders: Costar plate holders. Heating element is located at the bottom of plate holder part.
Costar plate holders are designed to accurately position the Costar plates on a breadboard (see section 10) and to allow precise positioning of the electrodes into the apical and basolateral compartments of the wells.
